header and format parameters might also use variables rendering the dc, image and
content namespace information. Note, that only bits of interest have been implemented
so far and those namespaces might not be implemented fully yet.
dc namespace dc namespace info,
that could be used in header and format. Nnote, that some of the variables are
already used above. This is done by purpose to use different feeds with the
same formating parameters. If there's a conflict the non-dc tags have higher precedence,
i.e. a <title> content </title> is prefered over
<dc:title> content </dc:title> . image namespace image:item is converted into an <img> tag using the following mappings: src: image url (rdf:about attribute of the image.item tag)
alt: image title (title)
width: image width (image:width)
height: image height image:height)

The American public’s attitude toward female business owners hasn’t changed much in recent decades, according to a new national survey, with 94 percent saying women only want to contribute to the family income and not grow a business.
A nonprofit organization, Count Me In for Women’s Economic Independence, commissioned the survey, and a woman-owned business, Candice Bennett & Associates Inc., conducted it.
At a news conference Wednesday, Count Me In founder Nell Merlino said the survey shows the issues preventing women from expanding their companies at a time when the country desperately needs job creation.
More than three-quarters of people surveyed said profit isn’t very important to women, and 84 percent agreed women are more risk-averse than men. Merlino said the results show perceptions have not improved much since the 1970s, when many women began entering the workforce.
A companion survey of female business owners said more than 80 percent of women want to grow their business, but half think hiring new employees could hurt revenue.
Editors Note: If you’re a female business owner, would you say that survey does/does not describe you? Why?
Needless to say, after 26 years working in the food industry Karen Swisher knew what tasted good and what did not. During that time she created interesting foods, such as microwavable English muffins, low-fat donuts and host of other products, many of which has been sold through companies like Carnation/Nestle and Jenny Craig, reports SGVTribune.com.
But her latest venture – Sierra Madre Grocery Co. – is all her own.
“After pursuing my passion for creative food development for nearly three decades on behalf of some of the industry’s most respected brands, I’m excited to have a collection of products I can truly call my own,” the 49-year-old entrepreneur said.
Sierra Madre Grocery Co.’s initial product line features roasted garlic olive bruschetta salsa, black bean and corn bruschetta salsa, and sierra seasoning. Upcoming introductions include fruit and fire bruschetta salsa with mango, peach, pineapple, garlic and cilantro; caramelized onions and roasted garlic bruschetta; herb and olive crisps; and a sweet and savory snack mix.
Swisher said she gets her inspiration from a variety of sources – sources that prompt her to visualize, test and create new products.
“I do a lot of looking around,” she said. “I eat at restaurants, flip through magazines and then go to the lab and starting tinkering around.”

The following is by Brenden Sherratt of In The Shark Tank.

There is no news yet about a second season of Shark Tank, but if you’re interested in pitching your business to wealthy investors than Dragon’s Den is your show. CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) has started a coast-to-coast search for creative ideas and money-making businesses. Dragon’s Den is the same concept as Shark Tank, it even stars two of the Sharks Robert and Kevin O as Dragons.
In the past Americans have appeared on the show, and I do not see anything in the rules that forbid American citizens from addition.
You can addition in person at one of 40 sites across Canada, or online by filling out this application form.
